Lon Schneider, MD, MS

Dr. Schneider is Professor of Psychiatry, Neurology, and Gerontology at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. He is director of the Alzheimer's Disease Research and Clinical Center (State of California), the Department of Psychiatry Geriatric Studies Center and co-director of the clinical core of the University of Southern California Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (National Institutes of Health). In addition, he is principal investigator of the National Institute of Mental Health's CATIE program, a multicenter effectiveness trial of atypical antipsychotics in Alzheimer's disease.

His research interests include forensic psychiatry, neuropsychiatry, treatment for Alzheimer's disease, clinical trials methodology, late life depression, geriatric psychiatry and biological markers.
