The University of Southern California Institute of Psychiatry, Law and Behavioral Science is an integral part of the USC Department of Psychiatry and the Behavioral Sciences, and has been in existence since 1963 providing teaching, training and research in the area of psychiatry/psychology and law. The Institute has three divisions: Training Program, Consultation Services, and Research Division. Consultation is provided to LAC+USC Medical Center, L.A. County Department of Coroner, L.A. County Superior and Municipal Courts, L.A. County Juvenile Courts, local mental health clinics and the professional community at large.

The Institute offers training programs for psychiatrists and psychologists.
