The objectives of the Department of Radiation Oncology are to:

  • Provide modern, state-of-the-art multi-disciplinary cancer patient care.
  • Provide teaching to medical students, postgraduate physicians, practicing physicians and other professionals associated with the practice of radiation oncology.
  • Engage in clinical and basic science research that will result in development of new cancer treatments, equipment, treatment accessories and techniques for the management of the cancer patient.

The objectives are achieved in collaboration with the USC/Norris Comprehensvie Cancer Center, USC University Hospital, the LAC + USC Medical Center, and affiliated centers including Childrens Hospital Los Angeles.
