Musculoskeletal Imaging

The Division of Musculoskeletal Imaging at the University of Southern California has as its primary focus the diagnosis of diseases affecting the musculoskeletal system. This includes diseases of a congenital, metabolic, infectious, inflammatory, neoplastic, traumatic or degenerative etiology. The division employs various modalities to include Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Computed Tomography, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound and Conventional Radiography, at times augmented by interventional procedures such as tissue sampling and arthrography. The primary teaching mission is directed at four levels: The medical student, the Radiology resident, the Musculoskeletal fellows and outside physicians. There is a related teaching mission directed to non-Radiologists focused on increasing awareness of appropriate services and modalities.
