Clerkships
The Medical Student Clerkships give medical students a chance
to experience different aspects of the radiology department.
The duration of the rotation can be from three weeks up to
a maximum of six weeks for USC medical students. For non-USC
medical students, three to four week rotations are available.
The rotation can now be taken for elective credit or selective
credit. Below is a list of the different rotations the medical
student will be exposed to:
- Chest
- Musculoskeletal
- Vascular
- Neuroradiology
- Computed Tomography
- Gastrointestinal
- Genitourinary
- Pediatrics
- Nuclear Medicine
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging
On the first day of the rotation, medical students must see
Norma Sanchez at General Hospital Room 3550 to pick up a schedule
and sign-in sheets. A daily sign in sheet requires the signature
of the day's attending physician.
Conferences are held daily at the General Hospital, Imaging
Science Center, and University Hospital. A valuable resource
available to students is the teaching files in the Learning
Center in the General Hospital Room 4547. At the end of the
rotation, the sign-in sheets are collected and students take
an exam.
