The National Cancer Institute has awarded Keck School of Medicine
of USC radiologist Hossein Jadvar nearly
$3.4 million over five years to study the potential of medical
scans in the monitoring of metastatic prostate cancer during
treatment.

A USC study has found the first proof of structural
brain abnormalities in people who habitually lie, cheat and
manipulate others.
The research – led by Yaling Yang and Adrian Raine,
both of the USC College of Letters, Arts and Sciences – is
published in the October issue of the British Journal of Psychiatry.
The other researchers were Susan Bihrle and Lori LaCasse,
also of the USC College’s psychology department, Patrick
Colletti of the Keck School of Medicine of USC’s
department of radiology and Todd Lencz of Hillside Hospital’s
department of research

cancer»
Keck School of Medicine radiologists are conducting
a flurry of clinical trials to look for answers to some of
the most vexing challenges to women’s breast health.
“There’s a lot going on in our section—a
lot of work to push technology forward in women’s imaging,”
said Yuri Parisky, associate professor of
clinical radiology and director of new technologies at the
Harold E. and Henrietta C. Lee Breast Center at USC/Norris
Comprehensive Cancer Center.
