A new device to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is now in the second phase of clinical trials, in which the Keck School participates as well as serves as a training center for other institutions.
Starnes named chair of expanded Department of Surgery »
Vaughn Starnes oversees an expanded department, consisting of the departments of Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery and Colorectal Surgery. His appointment became effective Dec. 1, 2008.
