The Keck School Department of Preventive Medicines
Health Behavior Division administers the M.D./ Master of Public
Health dual degree program in conjunction with the M.D. program
and the USC Graduate
School. Medical students should apply to the dual degree
program in the fall of their second year. Accepted students
complete required public health course work in their third-year

Admissions Requirements
This program is open to students enrolled in the Keck School M.D. program. M.D./M.P.H. students must meet all admission requirements of both the medical school and the M.P.H. program. The latter include:
- A bachelor's degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0;
- GRE score of at least 1000 V/Q combined, although equivalent (or higher) MCAT or GMAT scores may substitute; and
- TOEFL minimum paper score of 600 (if applicable)

Medical students must apply to the M.P.H. Program by January 15 of their second year. Follow the link above for instructions on applying to the M.P.H. program. The application will include:
- A completed Graduate School Admission Application;
- A completed supplemental MPH information form;
- Official transcripts from each accredited college or university attended;
- Official GRE, MCAT or GMAT scores and, if applicable, TOEFL scores;
- Three letters of recommendation;
- A copy of curriculum vitae or resume; and
- A statement of interest
