What Is the USC Community Hospital Network?
The USC Community Hospital Network (CHN) is a consortium
of community hospitals that are linked to the USC Keck School
of Medicine through a unique continuing medical education
program that focuses on the specific CME needs of each hospital.
The USC CHN model’s approach is to enhance or complement
the resources of the community hospital using the resources
of the Keck School of Medicine to help community hospital
physicians identify educational needs and develop educational
responses using medical school experts and other community
resources. The USC CHN provides the skills, staffing, and
experience that no small or moderate-sized community hospital
could afford alone. The USC CHN is financially feasible for
the community hospital and conserves the time of the community
physician.
