A program offered to students entering their undergraduate careers at USC, students accepted in the Baccalaureate/M.D. Program are assured of admission to Keck School of Medicine of USC (based upon the maintenance of their GPAs and requisite MCAT scores). This guarantee is meant to encourage high-achieving pre-med students the opportunity to enrich their studies with a balanced liberal arts education.

Students are admitted into the program based on achievement of excellence in their high school careers with outstanding grade performance community service and activity and exceptional SAT scores.

The emphasis of this program is the interaction of college freshmen with medical students and faculty. It is hoped that with the opportunity to explore the educational opportunities the University of Southern California has to offer undergraduates, these young men and women will become members of the medical profession with a balance of medicine, science and the arts. The Baccalaureate/M.D Program is not designed to advance these potential medical professionals with four years of science and medicine prior to attending medical school, but rather to allow them the necessary time to explore and develop into mature and serious students of medicine.
