The Keck School of Medicine’s M.D./Ph.D. Program is a joint program with the University of Southern California (USC) and the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) which is designed for individuals who aspire to a career in academic medicine or a leadership role in the biomedical industry. The aim is to train leaders in academic medicine who are outstanding in research and clinical care. Through the program, an individual acquires the required skills for physician competence. The M.D./Ph.D. Program provides for the development of research expertise and academic excellence while fulfilling the requirements for a Ph.D. degree in a variety of subject areas.
