The Keck School of Medicine’s M.D./Ph.D. Program is a joint program with the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and is designed for individuals who aspire to a career in academic medicine or a leadership role in the biomedical industry. Through the program, an individual acquires the required skills for physician competence. Additionally, the M.D./Ph.D. Program provides for the development of research expertise and academic excellence while fulfilling the requirements for a Ph.D. degree in a variety of subject areas.
