Paying Your USC Bill

After your financial aid has been applied to your USC student billing account, you may still have a balance due. USC offers many ways to settle your USC bill:

  • Online, with USCe.pay. Your student account is usually updated immediately, although payments and transactions that occur after-hours, on weekends or on holidays may take longer to post.
  • By phone, using TIPS, USC's Touch-Tone (telephone) Inquiry and Payment System. Please note that large credit card payments may be declined on TIPS if the amount exceeds your normal spending pattern. This may occur even if you have sufficient credit available. To prevent this problem, contact your credit card institution in advance to authorize a payment request from USC.
  • By mail, with a check or draft drawn on a U.S. bank. Write your 10-digit USC ID number and your full name on the check. To prevent late fees, your payment must be received—not postmarked—by the settlement deadline. Late payments will be charged a late fee.  For current settlement deadlines, refer to the Schedule of Classes.  Send your payment to:
Cashier’s Office
Health Sciences campus
1969 Zonal Avenue, Suite 101-B
Los Angeles, California 90089-9033
  • Wire transfer.  If you prefer, you can pay your tuition and fees via wire Transfer. If you have questions, contact the Cashier’s Office on the Health Sciences campus: (323) 442-3040.
  • Sponsored agency.  USC students who are sponsored by a company, a local, state, federal, or international governmental agency, or branch of the US military may be eligible to have all or a portion of their bills sent directly to the sponsor.
  • In person, at the Cashier’s Office on the Health Sciences campus, 1969 Zonal Ave, Suite 101-B. Hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, except banking holidays.

Paying for Non-USC Expenses

You may use your financial aid award to pay for non-USC expenses after your account has been paid in full. These expenses may include:

  • Books and supplies not purchased at the USC Trojan Bookstore
  • Rent for your non-USC apartment
  • Food purchased off campus, or not covered by a meal plan
  • Transportation
  • Other miscellaneous living expenses

If There’s a Balance in Your Account

After your USC billing account has been paid in full for the semester, any credit balance will remain on your student account as long as you are enrolled at USC. Or, you may request a refund by:

  • Submitting an online request for a refund.
  • Picking up a refund check in person, at the Cashier's Office on the Health Sciences campus (1969 Zonal Ave, Suite 101-B) or at the Cashier’s Office on the University Park campus (King Hall, room 201).
  • Signing up at the Cashier’s Office (1969 Zonal Ave., Suite 101-B) for automatic electronic transfer of credit balances to your bank account, through the ACH (Automated Clearing House) network.

Refunds may not be obtained until the first day of Open Registration for each semester, typically, Wednesday of the week before school begins. See the Academic Calendar for the actual dates.

If You Still Have Questions
