Welcome to the Keck School of Medicine Audiovisual
and Classroom Services Web site. We manage auditoria,
classroom and clinic rooms, rent projection equipment
and provide video and technical services to the Health
Sciences Campus.
General Policies
Available resources necessarily limit AV services.
The Office has established a system of priorities including
rental fees, materials and labor. In order of priority:
- Support instruction within the curriculum of the
Keck School of Medicine
- Support users of the teaching areas under the supervision
and management of Audiovisual Services
- Provide services for departmental programs, teaching
and meeting locations on the Health Sciences Campus
Curricular activities that qualify for support on a
"no charge" basis include: scheduled classes,
exams and reviews. "No charge" may also extend
to medical student organizations and medical student
sponsored community service events not funded from outside
sources. This policy extends only to events held on
campus, Monday through Friday, during regular business
hours (8:00 am through 5:00 pm). Labor and/or delivery
charges will apply if technical support is required
outside of regular University business hours or outside
the service area adjacent to the Health Sciences quad.
Audiovisual and Classroom Services provides limited
support to Keck School of Medicine graduate programs.
Room rental fees are waived for official graduate courses
assigned a class number. Graduate programs must pay
a rental fee for any equipment not considered part of
the room or used for events held within the specific
department (seminars, conferences, meetings, thesis
defense, etc.). Grand Rounds are not charged for space,
but are charged for equipment and labor.
