University Childrens Medical Group

Made up of clinical faculty members of the Keck School of Medicine, the University Childrens Medical Group (UCMG) is based at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), a partner institution of the Keck School.
An academic pediatric medical group, the UCMG’s accomplished physicians form the largest multi-specialty pediatric group in the country. Children and their families travel from around the world to receive treatment from the UCMG’s 265 pediatric physicians, who represent 32 specialties and provide care for complex and rare diseases through 31 special clinical programs. These physicians see patients at several locations in Southern California.

In 2002, 21 of the physicians at UCMG were named to the listing of the “Best Doctors in America.”

Childrens Hospital has pioneered pediatric medicine since opening in 1901. It has consistently placed as one of the top five pediatric facilities in the country and the best in the West in rankings by U.S. News & World Report. The Keck School and CHLA’s research programs in pediatrics have also gained national notice, with the National Research Council ranking it in the top ten medical school pediatrics departments in terms of federal research dollars in the nation. UCMG physicians are national leaders in pediatric patient care and clinical research.
