The USC School of Medicine is one of the top 20 medical schools
in the nation in peer review awards for research and has a
national reputation as a research institution. School of Medicine
Faculty conduct research through more than 200 projects funded
by private and federal sources. Faculty encourage students
to participate in long-term or short-term research projects
in any field of interest. Research participation can be an
important part of the student's medical education.
A student who is in good academic standing is encouraged
to engage in research while in medical school. Students should
