A number of internal centers and programs as well as external
organizations offer valuable research support services to
researchers.
Department of Animal
Resources »
The Department of Animal Resources (DAR) provides animal procurement,
daily care, animal health care, and scientific support for
Keck School programs using animals in teaching and research.
DAR offers a variety of services to assist faculty in preparing
proposals and carrying out animal-based research and teaching
activities.
General Clinical
Research Center »
The USC General Clinical Research Center (GCRC) provides
extensive clinical research services for Keck School investigators.
Funded by the National Institutes of Health/National Center
for Research Resources, the USC GCRC is the largest of the
77 such centers in the nation. The GCRC supports studies of
normal human biology as well as investigations into the treatment
and prevention of human disease.
Health
Research Association, Inc. »
A private non-profit company, the Health Research
Association (HRA) offers management services for sponsored
educational and research activities at the Los Angeles County
+ University of Southern California (LAC+USC) Medical Center
and other facilities. HRA membership consists of faculty members
of the Keck School leading clinical projects.
Statistical
Consultation & Research Center »
The Statistical Consultation and Research Center
integrates statistical, epidemiological and computing resources
and offers expert consulting services to internal and external
investigators conducting biomedical research. Biostatisticians
from the preventive medicine department staff the center.
