ZNI Dinner Night
Dinner Night is an informal seminar series, focusing on the work of a single ZNI laboratory. On the
second Thursday evening each month, speakers from a ZNI lab present their work, with the PI giving a short overview of the approaches used in the lab, followed by research talks presented by two to three members of the lab, including students and postdocs. Unlike at meetings where complete stories are presented, presenters are encouraged to talk about their unpublished research and work in progress. The aim is to generate discussion, to stimulate scientific feedback from the audience, as well as to nurture a sense of community at the ZNI. After the talks, everyone partakes in a buffet-style dinner organized by the preceding presenter’s lab. Dinner night is organized by
Derek Sieburth.
