Office of
Disabled Issues

The Office for Disabled Issues strives to ensure that each disabled individual on the Health Sciences Campus has the best possible environment in which to work, study, and interact with other individuals. The second major focus of the office is to make sure there are no physical or other barriers to a productive life on the campus.

Based at the Keck School, the office coordinates accommodations for students with learning disabilities as well as students with physical disabilities. The office works with a committee that represents all units of the Health Sciences Campus. The committee is responsible for the removal of physical barriers to access for the disabled, to change existing structures so that people have easy mobility throughout the campus, and to continually update services to create a restriction-free environment for faculty, students, staff and visitors.

In addition, the office serves as the liaison with the USC Office of Disability Services and Programs on the University Park Campus.
