Ina Fried
Executive Director of Communications and Marketing

Ina Fried joined the Public Relations and Marketing office in October 2007 as executive director of communications and marketing.

Ina is responsible for directing several integrated marketing, publications, Web and communications programs to advance the Keck School of Medicine and other USC health sciences programs.

Before joining USC, she was director of communications at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She led the institutional Communications Council and was responsible for several print and electronic publications, as well as the UT Health Science Center Web site and various marketing communications activities.

More than 30 local and national awards for writing, media relations, publications, Web site and communications campaigns reflect Ina’s broad range of experience. She joined the UT Health Science Center more than 25 years ago, after holding positions at Duke University Medical Center and Emory University.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University and an M.B.A. from the University of Houston.
