Jon Nalick joined the Public Relations and Marketing office in 1995 and serves as a writer, editor and staff photographer.
Jon is editor of Keck School of Medicine News & Notes, an electronic publication launched in 2007 to focus on news of interest to the faculty and staff of the Keck School of Medicine. He is also editor of the HSC Weekly, a weekly publication for Health Sciences students, staff and faculty, and he contributes articles to other USC print and online publications.
As a reporter at the Los Angeles Times for five years, Jon covered politics, crime, education and government in cities including Santa Ana, Newport Beach and Westminster. During his tenure, he wrote more than 1,200 stories on topics ranging from Orange County's bankruptcy and gang-related murder trials to the quirks of local residents.
Jon was a member of the reporting team that won the 1993 Best News Coverage Award from the Los Angeles Press Club for coverage of the fires that ravaged Southern California that year. He also has been cited by the Orange County Press Club for excellence in work covering politics and government.
Jon holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of California at Irvine.
