The goal of this activity is to break down the “silos” and encourage collaboration by providing an opportunity for faculty members in different units to meet and explore their common interests in an informal setting. Each month, representatives from various academic departments, research institutes, or research centers present their research activities around a common theme, in the form of short talks and posters. The guests are asked to present their work in a “Scientific American” style in order to appeal to a broad audience, and moderated by department chairs and institute directors.
This activity occurs on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 4:00 pm in the foyer of Aresty Auditorium during the academic year. Hors d’ouvres are served to participants. Medical students are encouraged to participate in this activity.
