Drawing on Willowbrook
12:00 PM-1:00 PM
Aresty Conference Room LG/503-504
Drawing on Willowbrook, an award-winning film recently released by several USC School of Cinematic Arts graduates explores "the ethical and humanistic issues raised in an especially powerful and poignant way" (New York Times, March 7, 2013), we will examine the forces that tempt "well-meaning scientists . . . to use individuals as a means to an end" and whether the ethical issues presented in the film are relics of the past or still arise today in research at academic medical centers, like the Keck School of Medicine of USC
