The Keck School faculty numbers more than 1,100 physicians, scientists and advanced researchers. Faculty physicians educate students, lead research investigations and oversee patient care in the School’s five partner hospitals. These faculty members do not simply teach medical and biological science, they actively contribute to the creation of new knowledge. In the process, they impact what is taught, thought, and practiced throughout the world.

The Keck School’s faculty includes eight members of the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences. Many have served on national or presidential advisory boards and received prestigious academic and professional awards.
