A Welcoming Message from the Dean...

Photo of Dean Ryan

Dear Alum,

Welcome to the inaugural issue of the Keck School of Medicine's e-Newsletter. Our goal for this publication is to help keep you informed of the latest news and events, highlight some of the services we provide and volunteer opportunities available, as well as spotlight prominent alumni, students, and volunteers.

We were honored this year to have Dr. Kendra Fleagle Gorlitsky (Class of '86) chosen as a 2004 Alumni Merit Award winner by the USC Alumni Association. She is just one example of the outstanding caliber of our alumni. I am extremely proud of the fine work all of you are doing in your communities and this e-newsletter is another way to recognize that work. Your continued commitment is helping us become one of the premier medical schools in the country.

We would like to involve you and give you the opportunity to help shape this e-newsletter. The first opportunity is to name it. Please email your suggestions to the Alumni Office at ksomalum@usc.edu. The winner will receive two tickets to the 2004 Homecoming football game! I hope you find this e-newsletter of value and welcome your feedback. I wish you much peace, health and happiness in the New Year.

Sincerely,
Dean Ryan's Signature
Stephen J. Ryan, M.D.
Dean
