Flu Update

Care for the Flu

Flu symptoms range from mild to severe. And while most people experience a relatively mild illness, some people have described the flu as feeling like they just got hit with a ton of bricks. People who become sick with the flu aren’t usually given much time to realize what hit them. Flu symptoms can come on so rapidly that it may feel like you went from being completely healthy one minute to having full-blown flu the next.

This is why it is important to prepare for the flu before it arrives. Have a flu kit ready. Understand any particular risks you might have associated with underlying health conditions (such as active asthma; diabetes; immune suppression; diseases of the lungs, heart, kidneys, and liver; and pregnancy.) Know whom to call for support, consultation, and advice. Do what you can to keep flu away from everyone around you, including yourself.
