Bryan M. Spann , DO

Assistant Professor of Clinical

Research Interests

Dr. Spann's research interest focuses on the relationship between the brain and cognitive-behavioral disorders. With Dr. Lon Schneider (Psychiatry) he is co-investigator on several research trials on Alzheimer Disease and related disorders. He also collaborates with Dr. Carol Miller (Pathology) and Dr. Margaret Gatz (Psychology) on their studies on Alzheimer Disease. In addition, Dr. Spann has recently received a Zumberge Grant through USC for studies on the substantia innominata and other sub-cortical nuclei in how degeneration of these structures correlates with cognitive?behavioral changes seen in various forms of dementia.
