Introduction
Los Angeles is the epicenter of one of the nation's largest and most influential media markets. USC's Thornton School of Music is, according to Rolling Stone magazine, one of the country's five best music schools due in part to its signature program in music industry.

Now, the USC Thornton School of Music offers entertainment executives new and innovative ways to be first to learn about the music media habits of the next generation.

Executive Programs offered by Thornton School of Music

Music/Media Solutions
This is a semester-long collaborative between some of the brightest USC students and music-related companies. Companies that are interested in this collaborative help plan the topic that will be researched by the lab. Student researchers work for 15 weeks to offer cutting-edge information and solutions that face the industry by focusing on understanding the music and media habits of the next generation of consumers. The lab members prepare an extensive and exclusive report presented at a working breakfast for those companies or organizations that underwrite the project.

One-Day Executive Programs
Entertainment companies can harness the intellectual and presentation power of the next generation by putting together a customized one-day Executive Program at USC. Morning session includes an on-campus working breakfast with students presenting suggestions and ideas pertaining to the topic interested companies have helped define. In the afternoon, Jerry Del Colliano presents an analysis and a skills session involving students and small groups of executives who work together on creative thinking/brainstorming projects as they relate to the topic under consideration.

Thornton Hot Topics (Student Town Meetings)
Very topical subjects are presented for Thornton music industry majors and other students at USC’s highly regarded business and cinema-television schools. The Q&A format is perfect way to fully understand how an entertainment company can serve the next generation.
