Biography
Jazz pianist and vocalist Anne Farnsworth lives in Los Angeles, where she divides her time between performing, teaching and writing. She has toured extensively in the States and abroad as a sideman and leader of her own trios and quartets.Her columns, essays, reviews, and interviews have appeared in Windplayer, RealTalkLA, Billboard Live, Jazz Notes and All About Jazz—Los Angeles. She is a biweekly columnist for ConcordJazz.com. Her original recordings can be heard on the FX series, The Shield.
Ms. Farnsworth is an international clinician and the author of Jazz Vocal Techniques (JazzMediaPress 2007). An active participant in the club and theater scenes, she has served as musical director for plays and revues and performs regularly with her trio. Her latest recording, Saturday Morning, was released on the JazzMedia label.
