Biography
Pete Anthony, a graduate of Williams College and the USC Thornton School of Music, current teaches orchestration and conducting in the Scoring for Motion Pictures & Television Program. In addition to an active music career, he is active in community service serving as a Planning Commissioner for the city of Malibu, California.Pete credits composer Daniel Gutwein, orchestrator Albert Harris, and legendary composer/conductor/ pianist Artie Kane as his most influential mentors, and is grateful to Dan Foliart for giving him his first job in entertainment. He has enjoyed conducting and orchestrating for many great films. He has worked with James Newton Howard, Danny Elfman, Marc Shaiman, Christopher Young, John Debney, John Powell, Marco Beltrami, Theodore Shapiro, Christophe Beck, and Teddy Castellucci, amongst others.
A small sample credit list includes: (Conductor/Orchestrator), Tropic Thunder, Hancock, Horton Hears A Who!, The Devil Wears Prada, I Am Legend, Spider-Man 3 and The Pink Panther. He is currently completing: Body of Lies, The Uninvited and The Pink Panther 2.
