Biography

Dr. Richard (Rick) Schmunk, Assistant Professor of Pedagogical Technology, teaches within the Music Industry and Scoring for Motion Pictures and TV departments at the USC Thornton School of Music and is an active music technology clinician in the U.S. and Canada.

As a guitarist, he has performed at festivals in the U.S. and Europe and been an active freelance musician in Dallas, Miami, Seattle and Los Angeles for over 25 years. He currently performs with his jazz quartet and dectet. His last recording of original compositions, Images, was released in December 2006.
