Cendrillon
by Jules Massenet
Libretto by Felice Romani

Brent McMunn, conductor
Ken Cazan, stage director

Peter Harrison, set designer
Jacqueline Saint Anne, costume designer

The USC Opera presents Bellini’s taut bel canto masterpiece I Capuleti e i Montecchi. Loosely based on Shakespeare’s timeless Romeo and Juliet, Juliet desperately tries to keep the peace and her sanity while Romeo battles his personal demons and Juliet’s father, the bitter Capellio. I Capuleti e i Montecchi is an evening of stunningly beautiful 19th century music based in a production set in contemporary, mafioso Verona.
