Composed of nationally-recognized training programs, the Titus Family Department brings together a diverse list of faculty with a wide range of clinical and research experience.

The Titus Family Department is committed to:

  • Establishing practice models that put the pharmacist in a leadership role to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Conducting innovative research on the individualization of drug therapy - encompassing pharmacogenomics, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and pharmacoeconomics.
  • Providing students with opportunities in clinical pharmacy practice starting in their first year.

Titus Family Department faculty practice in a wide variety of specialities such as community pharmacy, geriatrics, oncology and psychiatry. They hold positions in state and national professional organizations, leading the way in pharmacy practice today. Dedicated to preparing students for practice, faculty members have created and manage exemplary national and international clerkship sites used as training models nationwide.

The Titus Family Department educates the next generation of clinical and research pharmacists in the areas of advanced patient care and treatment. Additionally, Pharm.D. students will follow practice models that put the pharmacist in a leadership position on the health-care team to optimize patient outcomes.

Further, the Titus Family Department strives to establish the value of pharmaceuticals and pharmacy services to individual patients and to society. Through publication and presentation, the Titus Family Department promotes this value to students, clinicians, policymakers and the public.
