The Department of Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Sciences has two research arms, in Molecular Pharmacology and Toxicology and in Pharmaceutical Sciences. The graduate program provides instruction and research training in diverse aspects of pharmaceutical agents and pharmacology, including drug design, delivery, disposition and mechanism of action. Detailed characterization of the basis of therapeutic activity at the molecular, cellular, physiological, and clinical level occurs in an interdisciplinary curriculum that is carefully individualized to the needs of the student.
