SPPD Community Service

For the past several years, students, alumni, faculty, staff and friends of the USC School of Policy, Planning, and Development joined more than thousands of other volunteers from across Los Angeles to help improve communities all over the city as a part of Big Sunday!

On May 2, 2009 the SPPD volunteer group joined a school beautification project at Trinity Street Elementary School, near the USC campus. The group worked on projects including replacing vacant school and street tree wells with new trees and painting outdoor murals. To close out a morning full of hard work, the Big Sunday volunteers enjoyed some fun: a spontaneous kickball game with the SPPD volunteers versus the Trinity School kids!
