Athenian Society
As the premier philanthropic support group for the USC School of Policy, Planning, and Development (SPPD), the Athenian Society supports academic excellence and the continued growth of SPPD. The Athenian Society seeks to provide a meaningful community for those who believe in the mission, vision, and potential of SPPD and who wish to become involved in the life of the school.
The Athenian Society invites support at various levels. Alumni, parents, community and business leaders, and friends of SPPD will find membership rewarding. Funds raised for the annual fund through membership in the Athenian Society help provide student scholarships, enable us to carry out the initiatives of the Dean, and strengthen our core areas of public administration, public policy, planning, real estate development, and health administration.
In addition to significantly impacting SPPD and supporting the initiatives of the school, Athenian Society members also receive a variety of membership benefits that include:
- Pride in supporting a premier academic institution strongly committed to educating tomorrow’s leaders to address key societal issues
- Signature Athenian Society lapel pin and name listed on the SPPD annual honor roll
- Invitations to premier SPPD events and Trojan Family events with preferred seating when available
- Invitations to exclusive Athenian Society member events including forums and discussions with community and business leaders
