University of Southern California

Prospective Students

Dear Prospective Student:

One of the most distinguishing attributes of the University of Southern California is that we offer a world class Career Planning and Placement Center to all undergraduates and graduate students. Furthermore, there are certain professional schools who take this one step further and the School of Policy, Planning, and Development (SPPD) is one of them.

We offer to our SPPD undergraduates and graduate students a focused approach to career planning. You will be able to network with professionals in your field as well as attend stimulating panel discussions on different careers. In addition, alumni mentors work with you one on one to help you explore a career. Over Spring Break you can also explore a different sector or organization for a few days to a week. We also provide you with a website for internships and full time employment opportunities that are designated for our majors only. During your time with SPPD, you are welcomed and encouraged to drop by the Career Services Office to meet with us for a resume review, tips on cover letter and interview preparations, as well as to help you map out a career plan.

SPPD takes careers seriously and believes with our degree you will make a difference in the world. We are here to help you achieve that goal. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
