Center for Economic Development
_____________________________ Services The Center provides technical economic development assistance and training to organizations for community capacity building, acts as a clearinghouse for project resource facilitation and information, and engages in applied research servicing communities in housing, urban design, commercial, industrial and economic development A professional outreach arm of the USC School of Policy, Planning, and Development, the Center works in collaboration with the Community Development and Design Forum (CDDF) to deliver a broad range of services. Services are delivered through classroom, research and implementation projects designed to maximize student/faculty participation and collaboration with a variety of university schools and departments. Services are tailored to respond to client's specific needs and requests. Projects are structured and conducted by Center and Forum professionals including faculty, staff and student associates. Graduate and Ph.D. Student Associates are guided and supervised by faculty and staff. The Center fields numerous telephone calls and individual appointments with requests for information, guidance and limited assistance. Technical assistance is provided on a project specific basis.
