The University of Southern California School of Policy, Planning, and Development (SPPD) invites applications for a Senior Fellow non-tenure track faculty appointment in the school. The appointment is open with respect to rank.
Position Description and Qualifications:
The Judith and John Bedrosian Center on Governance and the Keston Institute for Public Finance and Infrastructure Policy have jointly launched a program on "Gateway Mega-Regions." To help lead and direct this program, the school is seeking a knowledgeable, experienced, nationally recognized scholar-practitioner to join the research team of the program.
Terms of appointment:
This is a half-time, non-tenure track faculty appointment in SPPD, with reporting responsibility to the directors of the BC and KI. The position is to begin immediately. The holder of the position is expected to lead in developing working papers, professional articles, and policy formulations on the governance and financing of major infrastructure needs of 21st century gateway mega-regions in the United States, with particular attention to the Los Angeles and Southern California as a mega-region, and elsewhere around the nation and the world. The holder will also be expected to teach one regular SPPD class on mega-regions and related subjects, work with undergraduate and graduate students interested in the topic, and contribute generally to the life of the school.
Compensation:
Compensation is competitive, based on qualifications and experience.
