Teaching Assistant Professor in Real Estate and Design
The University of Southern California School of Policy, Planning, and Development (SPPD) seeks a non-tenure track teaching assistant professor appointment in the areas of real estate and design. The position is a half-time fixed-term appointment.
Position Description and Qualifications:
Applicants should hold an advanced degree with a specialization in architecture, landscape architecture or similar design-related field and demonstrate strength in urban design, land use planning, architecture, landscape architecture of real estate product types, as well as excellent teaching potential. Applicants are encouraged from the disciplines of architecture, landscape architecture, urban design, or related disciplines. Previous teaching experience is highly desirable, as is professional experience in architecture, landscape architecture or urban design.
The appointment will involve teaching responsibilities in the School’s Master of Real Estate Development (MRED) program including administrative responsibility for creating the MRED comprehensive exam. Additional teaching responsibilities in the Master of Planning program and in Executive Education, as appropriate, may be included as well. This position will require teaching a minimum of the equivalent of 12 units of coursework over the school year (Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters).
