What is the application deadline?

What is the difference between the winter and summer programs?

The curriculum content is the same, but the format is different. The winter program is a commuter program which occurs over a series of four weekends on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the end of January and ends in mid-February. The summer program is a two-week in-residence program at the end of June.

Can I apply if I do not have experience in real estate?

Ross Students come from a variety of professional backgrounds either directly in real estate or a related field such as architecture, construction, finance, law, city planning, and brokerage. The program builds upon the knowledge that students bring with them and classroom discussions are enlivened by the diverse disciplines. In some cases we have accepted individuals who did not have direct real estate experience. Based on the individual’s personal statement, the applicant needs to clearly articulate their admittance into the program and how they plan to utilize the skills and information they acquire in urban development.

Do I need to submit test scores?

No. The Ross Program is a continuing education program and we do not require test scores.

Is it possible to request an interview for admission?

Admissions interviews are by invitation only. Given the level of interest in the Ross Program, it is not possible to interview all applicants. All candidates being considered for admission will be interviewed, but not all applicants will be interviewed. An interview does not guarantee admission.

Who should write my letters of recommendation?

We prefer that the two letters come from professional references.  The letters should address your accomplishments and ability to succeed in the Ross Program. Letters of recommendation from someone you have supervised, or from personal and family friends or relatives are inappropriate.

What is your policy on deferred admission?

We do not offer deferments of admission. Applicants unable to enroll for the term they were offered admission must reapply. We do however keep letters of recommendation on file for one year.

Is financial aid available through federal and local funding programs?

No. Only formal degree programs qualify for federal and local aid through FAFSA, Pell Grants etc.
However, the Ross Program does provide a limited number of partial scholarships that are awarded in the form of private grants.

What methods of payment are accepted for tuition?

Tuition payments are accepted by check, Mastercard and/or Visa. The University does not accept payments in the form of American Express.

If I decide, after acceptance into the program, that I can not participate in the program, may I get a tuition refund?

The University does not offer tuition refunds.

What happens if I should miss a class or evening program?

Attendance in all classes and for all site visits and networking events is critical to success in the program. Of course, we understand that emergencies may arise that may require you to miss a session.  However, frequent failure to attend lectures will disqualify a student from completing the program.
