New Book Published on Innovations in Public Leadership Development
We are pleased to announce the publication of a new book titled Innovations in Public Leadership Development (edited by Ricardo S. Morse and Terry F. Buss), which includes a chapter on designing and delivering leadership programs by Dr. Rich Callahan, Associate Dean and Director of Leadership Programs. The book includes discussions of leadership frameworks, competencies for public leaders for the "new governance," and strategies for senior leaders in government.

Representatives from the San Bernardino Economic Development Agency, led by Moises Cisneros, Economic Development Manager, were presented with the "Service to World Traders" Award by the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce’s Southern California World Trade Week Committee
The award honors organizations which have "demonstrated a sustained commitment to serving world traders in such areas as transportation, financing and law". More than 400 diplomats, business and civic leaders were present at the event held in Los Angeles. Keynotes included USC President Steven B. Sample and U.S. Trade Representative, Ron Kirk. World Trade programs like this are held throughout the nation to showcase the importance of international trade to our economy.
