2009 Sacramento Summer Enrichment Program

Application Deadline: April 30, 2009

The Sacramento Summer Enrichment Program (SSEP) is a program to increase student awareness of healthcare management as a career. Participants are also provided with post-SSEP mentoring and academic degree program application support. The program consists of:

  • On campus presentations featuring:
    • Faculty, alumni, healthcare leaders
    • Presentations to stimulate learning and build supportive relationships
    • Young Professionals Career Panel - learn about a variety of career paths in healthcare management and policy
  • Site visits at health clinics and other healthcare organizations
    • Visits to healthcare organizations serving diverse and/or underrepresented communities and/or led by executives of color
    • Visits to charitable organizations dedicated to building healthy communities
  • Post-SSEP Mentoring and Application Support
    • Informal counseling and mentoring
    • Maintain contact and communication
    • Guidance about applying to graduate school

Program Dates

  • July 9, 10, 16 and 17, 2009
  • Most days are 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • One day will be later for a mixer in the early evening (TBA)
