The USC School of Policy, Planning, and Development (SPPD) educates and trains leaders who are able to address the significant challenges of governing, managing and building contemporary urban communities.
Taught by an exceptional and distinguished faculty, SPPD's undergraduate programs offer both classes and practical training in policy, management and planning.
Bachelor of Science in Public Policy, Management, and Planning
The Bachelor of Science in Public Policy, Management, and Planning (PMPL) program provides a broad interdisciplinary and pre-professional education for students interested in the analysis of solutions to society’s contemporary political, social and economic problems.
Undergraduate students may also augment their general education and major studies with a variety of SPPD minors, including:

Progressive Degrees at SPPD
SPPD offers students who have demonstrated exceptional academic success the opportunity to earn both bachelor's and master's degrees in a progressive degree program. This program allows students to earn both the Bachelor of Science and a master's degree in five years.
Semester in Washington Program
The School of Policy, Planning, and Development also offers a semester of study with political professionals in Washington, D.C. This unique program serves as a tremendous opportunity to learn about politics in the heart of the nation's capital. Upon completion, students will have earned 16 units of USC credit.
Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) Programs
SPPD offers college students special opportunities for study through the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC). These programs are designed to offer selected students the necessary courses and training to qualify them for a commission in the U.S. Air Force, Army and Naval Reserves. Scholarships are available.
