At the conclusion of this conference participants will be better able to:

* know when and how to use a variety of demographic techniques, with Census 2000 products;

* recognize and evaluate federal, state, local and private sector demographic data resources;

* share data resources and evaluate issues of demographic data accessibility; and

* identify issues that hinder and enable effective demographic data collection and analysis.

This workshop draws together experts in demography, key policy makers and administrators of the U.S. Bureau of the Census and individuals who utilize new and innovative demographic techniques in their professional endeavors. We hope you will join us in this important and unique event that is designed to address the concerns of demographic data users in business, government, the non-profit sector and the media.
