Center for Health Financing,
Policy and Management
At 16% of GDP and rising, healthcare is our economy's largest single sector and, at some time or another in their lives, it is every member of society's most immediate and personal need. The complex web that is modern healthcare also represents a prominent example how the public, private, and nonprofit sectors interact to shape both public policy and each citizen's individual experience.
The Center for Health Financing, Policy and Management brings together leading researchers from USC, other leading universities, and the healthcare industry to expand society's knowledge of the structure, function and effects of managed care, and to disseminate new knowledge to improve the performance of healthcare systems. The center conducts leading-edge scientific research into the operation and effect of managed care and healthcare competition; educates practicing professionals and policymakers; and develops management and policy strategies to support the development of cost-effective healthcare systems throughout the world.
