Psychiatry

About this service

Counseling Services employs two psychiatrists, Stanley Harris, MD and Robert Martin, MD, who collaborate with counselors to provide mental health services. After an evaluation, the psychiatrist may recommend healthy lifestyle changes, supplements, and/or prescribe medication.

How to utilize this service

Access to psychiatric services is only by referral from a counselor. Psychiatric care is an option for those receiving therapy at the counseling center. If you are seeking psychiatric treatment only, please request an appointment for a Mental Health Consultation to obtain referrals for a community provider. Please note that there is a $20 fee for any psychiatric appointment missed without at least 24 hours notice.

If you are considering psychiatric treatment, schedule an initial appointment to discuss your needs with a counselor. Based on the counselor’s clinical evaluation, you will be referred to a counseling center psychiatrist or to appropriate psychiatric services in the community.
