The Student Health Insurance Plan is a supplemental insurance plan. What does that mean?
The plan is a low-cost comprehensive policy designed to meet the needs of our student population by working with the Student Health Centers on each campus. Coverage for inpatient and outpatient care includes:

- In-Network Providers: USC physicians or facility. $300 deductible with 90% coverage.
- Blue Cross of California Providers: Prudent Buyer Network: After a $300 deductible, 80% coverage.
- Non-Network Providers: Any physician or facility. $600 deductible with 50% coverage.
To be covered, referrals to outside providers require written approval from a Student Health and Counseling Services clinician.
