Welcome

Financial aid for international students is quite limited. The International Admissions Office offers International Merit Scholarships to a few incoming international freshmen. These are awarded solely on the basis of academic merit and every applicant is automatically considered (i.e., there is no separate application procedure). These few awards are for full or partial tuition support.

The primary source of financial assistance for international graduate students is the individual student's home department. This support is usually in the form of Teaching or Research Assistantships or merit based tuition waivers. This form of aid is awarded each year by the individual academic units of the University on the basis of scholastic accomplishment, academic promise and competence, and department needs. Any inquiries must be directed to related individual departments. Members of the USC community are invited to use the fellowship search capability of the AWARDS database through the reference department in Doheny library. This database is maintained by Stanford University. For more information, please call: (213)740-4039.
