Housing

Finding accommodation can be a major challenge, as many international students will testify. International freshmen are guaranteed campus housing, but international graduate students are less likely to obtain it. The key is to begin familiarizing yourself with housing options around USC, while you're still in your home country.

Use the Internet to view housing and roommate advertisements on the Daily Trojan classifieds site, the OIS housing site and other local Web sites to familiarize yourself with the types and cost of housing available. E-mail or call the OIS housing assistant who will provide personal guidance, Also you can contact other students or your national association at USC for leads and advice.

A note of caution: It is not advisable to sign a lease or enter into a binding agreement without having visited and inspected the premises personally.
