Nationality clubs

USC is home to the largest number of international students. There are more than 20 nationality associations and clubs on campus representing foreign students from all the continents. These clubs, besides serving as a support group for their respective fellow-citizens and fostering a sense of community among current students, are an invaluable resource for new, incoming students. Many of these groups maintain Web sites where they offer new foreign students advice and tips on settling in at USC. There are tips on where to learn to drive, where to live, what clothes to bring, where to party; in a nutshell, how to enjoy the Trojan experience. Most of the sites provide email addresses of their officers and encourage USC students to contact them. Click here to visit the International Students' Assembly (ISA) website.

"I came to USC by myself. I had no parents, relatives, or friends to help me out. Before I got here, I emailed the president of the SSA with some questions about USC. In true Singaporean spirit, she replied the following day itself, with detailed information - from the cost of the shuttle from LAX, to how much to tip the driver, and even her contact number. Her advice was very useful and her helpful attitude made me feel right at home."
- Rae Tan, Senior/Communications & Psychology, Singapore
